LAKE NORMAN
Lake Norman (LKN) borders four counties north of Charlotte – Iredell, Catawba, Lincoln, and Mecklenburg.
It is home to NASCAR drivers and other famous people and the lake itself is known for great striped bass fishing and legendary yacht parties.
Nearest Charlotte, the Lake Norman area comprises the small towns of Davidson, Huntersville, Cornelius and Mooresville.
Tiny Davidson College is where a local basketball talent named Stephen Curry once took the Wildcats within a bucket of the Final Four. You know what he’s accomplished since then.
Charlotte may be a landlocked town, but if you are a lover of the Water, Lake Norman just may be calling you.
LAKE WYLIE
Lake Wylie (LKW) is the second of Charlotte’s major lakes fed by the Catawba River. The third is Mountain Island Lake.
Lake Wylie is home to the lakefront towns of Tega Cay and Lake Wylie, SC and it borders North Carolina and South Carolina.
Lake Wylie is not known to be as much of a party lake as Lake Norman, but it a great place to enjoy cruising, fishing, and water sports.
